We are WOMEN, hear us ROAR

I'm sure you all read the story over on A Little Pregnant. Girl meets boy. Girl gets pregnant. Girl and boy get married. Boy turns out to be a huge jerkass and cheats on his young pregnant wife. Girl ends up on bedrest and will be induced at 31 weeks. Girl can't finalized divorce until baby is born. Boy, in a true display of jerkass behavior, keeps all the baby items that were purchased. Girl can't get the items until AFTER the divorce is final. Girl and new baby are screwed.

Rebekah, the girl's sister, wanted to know what items would be absolutey necessary for them to have when the baby comes home after a guarenteed NICU stay. So many people wanted to know how they can help, so I helped Rebekah set up a donation page and blog if you want to help. I know, I know, not exactly like me to be helping the more fertile, but this just pisses me off as a woman. How can you be SUCH an asshole to hold back things from your CHILD to spite your soon-to-be-ex-wife? Anyway, the link is here if you want to read the story and a a link to a dropcash campaign is there as well if you want to donate. Soon an amazon wishlist for baby items will be added. Thanks.

It's T-27 hours to surgery. I'm a basket case. I'm terrified of the anesthesia. That bad reaction I mentioned? I almost died. My blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels plummeted making them hit me with a couple of doses of epinephrine. Plus I'm a real baby when it comes to pain. I've filled my Pez dispensers with Percocet in preparation. I'm going to spend the day with my grandparents and my mom. Apparently my grandfather is asking my grandmother every single day "Is Jenni coming over today?" since I visited last week. I probably won't post for awhile, but I may have Dave post that I survived (if I do, did I mention I'm scared?).

Good luck w/the surgery - I hope all goes smoothly, and please have Dave let us know that you're ok - my hubby had a bad reaction to the anesthesia w/his first surgery, so w/the subsequent surgeries he's had, because they know he's susceptible to issues, they're extra careful. Just make sure to speak w/the anesthesia-ologist (sorry, can't spell that) IN PERSON, right before surgery to make sure they are well informed of what happened last time so they can make sure all is well this time.

I'll be thinking of you - I hope the anesthesia is nothing at all except enjoyable (love my versed!)

Good luck!

So nice of you to help Rebekah's sister! That story makes me livid as well.

Good luck Jenn. I will be hoping and praying for you as you go through this operation. And I beseech Dave to post on your status, as I will be on pins and needles wondering about you.

It makes perfect sense that you are scared given what happened to you last time... BUT YOU WILL BE JUST FINE! Now that they know what happened last time it can be prevented... sending you lots of 'get well soon's.
