Help a sister out
My friend and fellow infertile Katie needs some help. Due to a variety of factors, IVF with ICSI is her only hope to have children. (Unfortunatey adoption is also not a likely possibility due to some other physical factors) Unfortunately we all know how expensive IVF is.
The good news that New York state has given her some grant money to help pay for a large portion of the IVF. The bad news is that she still needs to come up with $1700 before the start of the next cycle or she'll lose the grant money. It may not seem like much, but when you don't have any money left after years of treatments, it might as well be a million dollars.
This is her last chance and only hope. Please visit her website and read her story. There is a link to donate anything you can to her to help her and her husband out. If you know of anybody who could help out, feel free to pass this along.
I know a lot of people are in the same situation, tapped out after years of treatments, wondering how to pay for the next cycle. So if this offends you in any way, please just skip it as that is not the intent. Katie and I have been on the same MSN board for infertility for almost a year now. She's in an urgent situation and it would be such a waste of that grant money. Maybe if there were more time she could figure out a way to finance it without asking for help, but she literally only has days. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
