Appointment Sex
To be blunt, my wife and I just had sex. Appointment sex. We did not do it because we wanted to or we were in the mood. She has not been feeling well at all for the last few weeks, and we are both quite stressed out between work and things here at home lately. We did it because yesterday the doctor at the fertility center instructed us to have intercourse (they call it "homework") between four to twelve hours before our next test tomorrow morning.

Is there a copay with that, or do you get billed?
Sorry, had to be said.

For what it's worth, I wish you luck. I have a friend who is trying to get pregnant with her husband and it's not working so well, and I see the frustration she's going through and I wouldn't wish it on anybody.
I'm in the opposite part of life, where I want to have sex with my girlfriend as much as possible and not have a child, but I hope when I make the change to wanting little rugrats of my own that everything will work smoothly.

If this isn't getting too personal (though after your opening sentence, that might be difficult), how exactly has your wife "not been feeling well at all" - is she sick? – and how on Earth do you manage to, well, get the juices flowing under such circumstances?
And one more question: In retrospect, how would you rate this kind of sexual encounter with the more impromptu kind? Heck, maybe it's better, and appointment sex is the wave of the future. Those PDAs have to be good for something.

Good luck with everything. With my wife having just delivered our first son a couple of months ago, I remember all the dislocations that led up to it.
It's amazing how having to do something for homework can take the fun out of anything, isn't it?

Hmmm..
How strange would it be if she asked about your homework and you told her the dog ate it...
Sorry, I could not resist!
