Ocean City Trip
Well, we just got back from Ocean City a few hours ago (we had to run Jenn's sister back home and had some fun sitting in traffic). Now we're hanging around in the den discussing our budget. Can you tell the vacation is over? :)
Anyways, Ocean City was a lot of fun. For most of the weekend, the sky was at least overcast (and raining on more than one occasion), so we didn't spend as much time at the beach as we would have liked. We did get plenty of pinball and bumper cars in though. Somehow, I think I actually managed to injure Jenn (very slightly) during our last ride in the bumper cars. That's her claim at least.
The room she reserved had a jacuzzi in it. I've never been in one before, and I must say, it is really nice. We decided that whenever we get around to buying that nice house, it is going to have a nice, big jacuzzi. And an array of pinball machines. We spent plenty of money on the South Park, Austin Powers, and Playboy (Jenn's favorite) pinball machines. Oddly enough, two of those three machines require shooting the ball into a toilet to get multiball going. Can you guess which two?
Sunday night we had dinner out at the Galaxy Bar and Grille. One I got past feeling completely and totally out of place (I think I was having Amanda flashbacks or something), we had a pretty good time. Good wine, nice salad, and my personal favorite dessert of all time, crè¥ brulee (hopefully I spelled that right). Though, it was the most expensive dinner (per person) that I've ever paid for. But it was more than worth it to see Jenn so exciting and prettied up. She definately cleans up well. ;-)
After that we went to play a round of miniature golf at Ember's Island (my new favorite course). I soundly kicked her butt, by 13 strokes. She claims it was the wine she drank at dinner (she was getting a little goofy), but I know it was my superior skill. Then we went to the Purple Moose Saloon and had a "few" drinks. I am definately beginning to be partial to vodka tonics. We got pretty silly and just had a good time on our last night in town.
I'm starting to be really happy that Jenn and I are together. This is, by far, the longest relationship I have ever been involved in (though anybody who knows me knows that isn't saying too much). In the past, whenever things have gotten a little rough in a relationship, I've had a tendency to just walk away, but Jenn and I have hit a few bumps over the last couple months since we moved in together and I have always wanted to work things out with her. I'd hate myself if I ever did anything to hurt her. I think she may be it; this may be for good.
I think I could do a heck of a lot worse. :)
